Job Summary:
The Facility Maintenance Lead will support plant supervision. Maintain plant safety and housekeeping. Ensure completion of daily maintenance activities following plant schedules and maintenance schedules. The facility maintenance lead provides electrical- mechanical maintenance support to the entire facility. Facility projects will include servicing equipment such as: Air Compressors, Holding Tanks, Chillers, Crystallizers, Dryers (Unadyn) as well as general building electrical work. Achieve objectives to maintain and improve the safety, quality and legality of facility performance.
Job Duties:
· Follow all Standard work practices which includes tasks such as: All Safety Policies such as Lockout Tag-out procedures, Critical Safety Rules, plant and department safety rules, PPE, SDS policy and procedures, plant fire protection systems alarms, and proper startup and shut down of all equipment.
· Follow GMP/
· Comply with all Plant and Pactiv wide policies and procedures.
· Utilize CMMS program to coordinate PM, Breakdown and routine maintenance activities.
· Oversee and train co-workers on electrical and mechanical related issues and signoff on training
· Daily shift reports and attendance at Tier I meetings
· Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces
· Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
· Delegating cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members
· Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed
· Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals
· Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders
· Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff
· Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions
· Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs
· Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC and other building systems
· Proficiency with repair tools and techniques
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests, vendors and team members
· Great time management, organization and prioritization abilities
· Keen attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills
· Ability to lift heavy equipment and comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time
· Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments
· Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
· Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
· Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
· Supervise all staff facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors
· Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.
· Handle insurance plans and service contracts
· Keep financial and non-financial records
· Perform analysis and forecasting
· Any and all duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education (minimum requirements): Education (minimum requirements): Basic Electricity 1 & 2 or equivalent. High-School Diploma.
Experience (minimum requirements): 3– 5 years of previous Mechanical-electrical experience. Knowledge of Electrical components of Air Compressors, Holding Tanks, Chillers, Crystallizers, Dryers (Unadyn) preferred. Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits and read electrical schematics/blueprints. Must be able to operate Lift/Scissor Truck. Must be able to effectively communicate with managers and co-workers. Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices. Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good analytical/critical thinking

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift, push and pull over 50 pounds. Must be able to climb to heights of 60 feet. Must be able to stand or sit for 8-12 hours at a time.
