Total Base Pay Range:

  • 64,080.00 - 80,100.00 - 96,120.00 USD Annual
  • All members included in annual cash bonus opportunity

The Operations Engineer (level 1) reports to Technical Leadership and provides manufacturing expertise to solve difficult problems and continuously improve our manufacturing organization and/or supply base. Supports production from a technical standpoint.

What you will be doing...

  • Supports technical solutions
  • Supports cell layouts and process improvement initiatives
  • General understanding of Six Sigma and lean tools to improve processes
  • General understanding of Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) concepts and supports new product introduction
  • Supports the manufacturing floor for any process related questions
  • Creates and maintains process documentation and updates work order documentation
  • Supports implementation of basic engineering changes
  • Adheres to applicable Quality System requirements
  • Supports Process Flow Charts, PFMEA, and Control Plans
  • Learns from more senior Operations Engineers. May guide/direct Manufacturing Specialists.

What we are looking for... 

  • Bachelor's degree in technical/science or International equivalent required
  • Professional certifications preferred (i.e. AWS, SME, CWE, CWI, etc.)
  • General Six Sigma knowledge; Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts
  • General Project planning tools
  • General troubleshooting and problem solving skills; General understanding of Root Cause Analysis
  • General understanding of Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) concepts and supports new product introduction
  • General understanding and ability to read electrical and/or mechanical machine drawings
