Pay Range - $31.292 - $48.14 per hour (Actual base pay based on factors such as relevant experience, education, market, qualifications, and skills)
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONThe Master Machinist 2 is highly experienced and independently operates a wide variety of CNC machines which may include: CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, Vertical Machining Centers, grinders, CMM etc. with limited supervision. These Utility Machinists are expected to run 2-5 machines simultaneously and understand all aspects of set up and precision measuring across the shop. They also train other operators, programmers, engineers, and machinists. They are capable of creating one off proto-type parts and fixtures with no direction or formal drawings based on knowledge and judgement.REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or GED required.10+ years CNC experience or on-the-job training to include completion of 2-year Machine Technology certificateAbility to read and comprehend verbal and written instructions in English.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure including decimal fractions.Read mechanical drawings/blueprints including GD and T codesVision and depth perception suitable for use of inspection microscopes.Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.Ability to either stand or walk for extended periods.Ability to mentor, train or lead other Operators and machinists successfullyExcellent communication skillsMust pass criminal background check and drug screen.Eligible to work in an ITAR environmentESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
