• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and take corrective action / repair of industrial machinery preventing costly down-time
• Preventive, Predictive and Corrective Maintenance
• Lubrication, inspecting, adjustment and calibration
• Installation and fabrication of project upgrades for new systems & equipment
• Strong understanding of bearings, power transmission equipment and rigging
• Strong understanding of all classes of motors (DC and AC), pumps, air compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Experience with steam system, boiler license a plus
• Ability to operate a lathe and a milling machine for basic part machining
• Ability to do basic stick welding. TIG, MIG, aluminium, stainless steel, plasma cutting a plus
• Experience with piping installation, PVC, copper, black pipe, Stainless steel
• Able to troubleshoot 3 phase single phase and DC motors
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair automated machinery, knowledge of level sensor, temperature sensor and temperature controller, pressure sensors, limit switches, optical sensors and flowmeters
• Knowledge of PLC, HMI, relay logic a plus
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical blue prints
• Use a wide range of tools and equipment:
• Power & Hand tools
• Variety of truck lifts
• Jacks and hoists
• Technical manuals and references
• Measuring devices (squares, micrometers, callipers, voltmeters, ammeters), etc.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation and repairs and wiring of electrical components and circuits
• Repairs to lighting systems and inspect electrical systems for unsafe conditions * Interaction with all departments, in improvement team based activities and often dealing with people in crisis situations (equipment breakdown, power outages, etc.). To include outside contractors and vendors.
• Strong sense of safety awareness, GMP and PPE practices
• Good Reading, Math Skills and Basic computer skills
• Mechanical and Electrical Aptitude
• Electrical Power Distribution and Controls Systems Experience
• Writing Skills for Documentation of Maintenance Work
• Experience working in a millwright environment
• Willingness to accept overtime and call-in on short notice
• Willingness to take training courses or on the job training program to improve skill level
• Minimum High School Graduate or GED
• Any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described including related work experience in one or more of these trades
