Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a CNC Machinist- Operator B.

The hours for this role are 7:00am - 3:30pm

The hourly rate for this position is $28.50 per hour.

What you’ll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION

     Responsible for setting up and operating various CNC Mills and Lathes in order to produce parts to engineering technical drawings.  Identify and use proper tools, gages, and equipment for the process. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Interpret blueprints generated per ANSI/ASME Y14.5 guidelines (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing). Manufacture parts which conform to same specification.
  • Set up and run CNC lathes (2 axis) in a production environment and/or CNC mills (3 axis) in a production environment.
  • Interpret and edit “G-code” NC programs
  • Set-up and operate simple machine tools such as drill presses, manual presses, saws, shears, etc.
  • Set-up and operate manual lathes and/or mills
  • Inspect GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) features using basic inspection techniques such as vernier, micrometers, indicators, comparators, bore mics.
  • Assisting Manufacturing Engineering with most intermediate troubleshooting on machining product.
  • Identify and initiate continuous improvement for product safety, quality, and efficiency (cost).  

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED from accredited institution
  • 1+ years’ experience in trade as a machinist or tool maker. 
  • Resides within 50 miles of location
  • US person within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a US person as a US Citizen, US Permanent resident (Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee

 

Preferred

  • Experience or formal education in design/drafting with emphasis on CAD
  • CNC programming experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in trade as a machinist or tool maker

Specialized Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in trigonometry
  • Proficient in print reading and inspection, including CMM (milling)
  • Ability to use a personal computer

Additional Information:

  • Position requires use of PPE – Safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves as needed
