Job Description
Job Title : Production Supervisor Quality Layout

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for leading layout inspection and metrology processes to ensure alignment with customer expectations and our quality operating system. This position involves coaching team members on standardized work practices, resolving data collection system issues, and supporting continuous improvement through data analysis.

Key responsibilities include maintaining calibration records, overseeing CMM and Blue Light Scanning programming, and directing daily part validation activities. The supervisor collaborates with the Launch Manager and support teams to manage job launches, insourcing, and engineering changes—ensuring all related documentation and visual aids (e.g., reference panels and bullseyes) are accurately maintained and updated.

The role requires supervision of a skilled hourly workforce across multiple shifts, creating a positive and productive work environment. Additional responsibilities include performing basic administrative and supervisory tasks to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.

What you'll do...

  • Coach and lead teams to meet Quality objectives using the Quality Operating System
  • Identify and resolve data collection system issues
  • Support job launches, insourcing, and engineering changes in collaboration with the Launch Manager
  • Maintain and manage calibration records and inspection documentation
  • Oversee CMM and Blue Light Scanning programming and daily part validations
  • Analyze quality data to drive process improvements
  • Supervise and direct a skilled hourly workforce across multiple shifts
  • Ensure a positive and productive work environment
  • Perform administrative duties including scheduling, documentation, and basic supervisory tasks

Qualifications

You'll have... 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 years’ experience in CMM programming

Required Behaviors

  • CMM programming and Blue Light Scanning experience
  • 1+ years of supervisory and / or manufacturing experience
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights and weekends

Even better, you may have...

  • Previous supervisory experience in a quality or layout inspection environment
  • Strong understanding of metrology equipment including CMM and Blue Light Scanners
  • Familiarity with calibration procedures and quality systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work across all shifts as needed
  • Strong organizational and documentation abilities

This position is a range of salary grades 6 and 7 and 8.
