Job Title : 3rd shift Manufacturing Supervisor
Overview:

The 3rd shift Manufacturing Supervisor has accountability for the overall operation of the plant during the assigned shift hours, areas of responsibility included: Safety & Environmental, Quality, Efficiency, Productivity and Adherence to Schedule.



Responsibilities:

Essential Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Managing the activities and work-flow for all hourly team members during the assigned operation shift of the plant.
  • Directing and managing the training activities of new employees.
  • Administering Company policies and practices fairly.
  • Ensuring that work areas comply with health, safety and environmental standards - training in emergency response and waste management required.
  • Adherence to all internal and external quality standards.
  • Frequently communicates with direct reports and management counterparts.
  • Evaluate, manage and motivate all direct reports with a strong emphasis on planning, organization, preparation, follow-up and internal communication.
  • Support a lean, high-performance culture that rewards over-achievement and encourages continuous improvement.
  • Communicates clearly and directly with employees concerning performance expectations, productivity, and accountability.

Direct Reports:

  • Hourly personnel working assigned shift.


Qualifications:
  • A minimum 2 years of experience as a front-line supervisor in manufacturing (with minimum of 25 direct reports); related experience in metal fabrication and finishing preferred.
  • Associate Degree in Business Management or related field preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
  • Results oriented leadership style with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintains high integrity and credibility with all peers and associates.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization as well as external contacts.
  • Capable of driving results in a lean manufacturing environment to achieve daily, weekly and monthly KPI's.
