Manufacturing Intern
Pratt Industries Specialties Division seeking internships or interests in a formal co-op program to develop your skills and abilities for your career to include learning, applying your knowledge to projects that will include reporting out to the Pratt Leadership team your results.. Areas of the business interns would be rotated through would be, Engineering and Capital projects, Design to learn Paper Fundamentals, Research and Commercialization, Plant Operations in sustainable plastics, paper bag and packaging and other retail products.
Duties:
The Manufacturing Intern will be responsible for:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing and Automation Engineering.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Working knowledge in MS office (incl. Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
