Job Title : Machinist, Milling - 1st Shift

EPTAM Precision Micro-Machining is looking for a Machinist (Milling)  – 1st Shift to join our team in Lakeville, MN. Join us as we create medical devices that support our OEM partners in creating life-saving parts and positive outcomes for their patients.

SHIFT DETAILS:

Monday through Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm

SUMMARY: The Machinist is primarily responsible for the following: · Set up and operate machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments, and support maintenance of machines. · Inspect parts to ensure they meet the required tolerances, dimensions, and surface finishes that comply with the customers requirements. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Perform machine setups to produce products, ensuring consistent results through accurate timekeeping, tool monitoring and statistical control methods.
  • Complete independent parts inspections to ensure that customer requirements are being met, using various inspection methods, resources and equipment, including regular use of microscope. · 
  • Identify material, technical, production and safety issues that may impact the manufacturing schedule, communicate concerns to the department Lead 
  • Knowledge of metals and their respective properties.
  • Employees must be able to relate to other people beyond receiving instructions. Can get along with co-workers or peers and respond appropriately to feedback from a supervisor in a professional manner. · 
  • Collaborate with the team and the department lead to accommodate production schedule changes.
  • Represent the company, as required, during customer, internal and ISO audits. 
  • Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and the Quality Management System (QMS), identify potential deviations, and notify the department Lead of non-conformance, assist with root cause analysis as requested.

EDUCATION: Associates degree or vocational training in machine tool technology, technical, or equivalent work experience.

EXPERIENCE: 4+ years' experience with CNC milling, Swiss turning, Fanuc, Mazak, or HAAS machines and CAM software (GibbsCAM preferred) in an ISO regulated manufacturing environment. Internships and PT experience acceptable.
