Job Summary:   

Your daily focus as a production supervisor is leading a team in producing milk safely and efficiently. All candidates will be required to take and pass a test consisting of math, reading, process flow, and mechanical aptitude, prior to the interview. A minimum score of 67% must be met to be considered for employment.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervision, assisting with & teaching the Standard Operating Procedures/Conditions of:

  • Cleaning, set-up, operating and monitoring equipment of the production line.
  • Perform cleanings during set down times and product changeovers.
  • Load/unload stacks and move items as assigned.
  • Sort, bundle and fill containers or place them in assembled units.
  • Mark or place identifying labels on product loads, ensuring that all finished products are coded properly.
  • Record movement of stock in and out of work areas.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties.
  • Monitor materials, products, and equipment at each step of the process and reports irregularities to supervisor.
  • Maintain communication with other departments, management and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict efficiency.
  • Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format.
  • Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assisting in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
  • Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of all required personal protection equipment (PPE) in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
  • Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately. 
  • Other duties assigned or required by the department manager.
  • Keep a calm, always collected head/mindset.
  • Always follow the chain of command, unless in case of emergency.
  • Communicate exceptionally well with the other shift supervisors, managers, & operators always, especially in case of an emergency.
