Brief Description
The Regal Rexnord Gear Group (Falk) seeks an experienced Utility Machinist at our Canal Street location.
Key Accountabilities
Position will require the ability to set-up and operate a variety of manual and CNC machine tools; including Lathes, Mills, Cylindrical Grinders, and Gear Hobbers.
Successful candidate must be versatile and flexible; will be expected to change job duties on a daily basis to react to heavy workloads, and at times to cover for vacationing employees.
Responsibilities may include manually edge-grinding own parts to remove generated tooth burrs.
Job Requirements
High school diploma, HSED, or GED required.
Previous machinist experience required.
Must have experience with correctly using high precision measuring instruments (such as vernier, tooth caliper, and micrometers) in lengths of a thousandth.
Strong Geometry knowledge.
Capabilities and Success Factors
Individual must be a self-starter, must work well with others, and must be willing to flex as needed.
Prefer candidates with previous gear cutter and gear grinder experience.
Technical school training is a plus.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Must be self-starter and team player.
Knowledge of geometry.
Experience with and ability to read blue prints/drawings, and gear cutting summaries.
