***CNC Machinist in Delavan, WI starting at $26.00-$29.00/Hr. dependent on experience

We have a direct hire, full time, permanent opening for an experienced CNC Machinist in Delavan. This is an opportunity to work 3rd shift (11pm – 7am). Please note, training will be conducted on 1st shift. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be responsible to set up and operate a wide range of machine tools in order to produce machined components and finished fittings for shipment. 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

In addition to setting up and operating, the CNC Machinist must have the ability to work with various machine tools (lathe, mill, multi-spindle) and be able to produce any proven parts, generally to tolerances of .05 - .003 and 20 micro inch finish. 

 

 Additionally, the ideal candidate must have the ability to:

  • Load and edit programs via "dry-run" simulation if CNC is being utilized.
  • Make necessary offset adjustments to CNC programs prior to first piece production.
  • Read and interpret work orders to select proper work center and identify required tooling and/or programs necessary to perform the operation.
  • Obtain and install proper tooling such as jaws, chucks, faceplates, arbors, centers and cutting tools.
  • Use various gauges and precision measurement instruments (i.e. CMM, calipers, micrometers, etc). 
  • Inspect machined parts and complete a statistical process control report.
  • Assist manufacturing engineering in process improvements.
  • Return tooling and report any difficulties with tooling or material.
  • Read and understand basic manufacturing mechanical blueprints, and have sufficient shop math skills          

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • 1-2+ years of machining experience

Preferred:

  • Technical degree or relevant certification
  • Mori Seiki, Hitachi Seiki, Okuma, Fanuc, G&M Code
