Job Title : Manufacturing Engineer

Description

Days & Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm, 40 hours per week.

Location: Onsite

1731 Gault Street, St. Peter, MN 56082 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods by utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling as well as production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. 
  • Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment along with workspace for maximum efficiency. 
  • Confer with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods. 
  • Coordinate implementation of ECO with production. 
  • Establish and maintain production routings. 
  • Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency. 
  • Interact with all areas of Management, Production employees, and Engineering. 
  • Develop and maintain work instructions for production lines. 

Requirements

Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess problems or issues with manufacturing equipment. 
  • Extensive knowledge of production principles and techniques.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with computer-aided drafting (CAD, NX, and Teamcenter) software.
  • Experience in SAP. 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering – Mechanical, Industrial, Agriculture, or a Manufacturing focus of study preferred. 
  • Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes/procedures/tooling, product flow, and quality practices. 
  • Entry level experience in manufacturing, engineering, quality, and management. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Sit at a desk while working on a computer for prolonged periods. 
  • Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
  • Utilize specific vision abilities such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. 

Travel: 

  • No travel is expected for this position.
