Job Title : Manufacturing Quality Engineer-Strategic Projects
JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Quality Engineer – Strategic Projects
LOCATION: 100 4th Ave N, Bayport, MN 55003 
JOB DUTIES:

Provide quality engineering support for: New Product Introductions, Product Improvement Efforts, Manufacturing Process Improvement and Design, Manufacturing Execution System Introduction, and Improvement Efforts
Supporting quality systems and error-proofing solutions in equipment and process design
Leading and participating in process risk assessments including FMEAs to drive quality improvements
Working with IT, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing Engineering to develop/update operator interface for manufacturing assets.
Developing and executing validation plans throughout the Product/Process development lifecycle for equipment asset and full manufacturing line qualification.
Analyzing fabrication and assembly equipment capability in Minitab or similar software (Cpk, Ppk).
Leading Control Plan and Work Instruction documentation development and implementation
Implementing Statistical Process Control (SPC) within the production line equipment validation, plant infrastructure, and Quality Management System development. 

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology
Three years (36 months) work experience as an Engineer, working within a manufacturing, continuous process environment 

Position also requires:
Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings 
Knowledge of PFMEA, SPC, process capability and lean manufacturing principles 
Working knowledge of measurement tools and systems with an emphasis on physical gaging and automated inspection 
ASQ certified Quality Engineer/Six Sigma certifications 
Prior work experience needed to include working with component suppliers on Part Submission Warrant (PSW) requests, First Article, and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submittals for new product development projects

TRAVEL: 25% travel anticipated, which will include primarily domestic travel with the possibility of occasional international travel 

SALARY: $105,726
