Job Title : Manager - Contract Manufacturing

THE ROLE:    

  • This position will report to the: Sr. Director
  • Travel Requirement: TBD

  • FLSA Status: Exempt
  • Employment Category: Full Time Regular
  • Pay Range: $95 - $150K

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE    

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Contract Manufacturing Manager to join our team. This individual will play a vital role in supporting our growing external manufacturing operations and be responsible for researching new processing facilities, managing relationships with contract manufacturing partners, and collaborating with internal teams to drive innovation and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product manufacturing, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.. 

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR   

  • Research and Identify New Processing Facilities: Conduct research to identify new processing facilities that align with strategic business needs. 
  • Manage Contract Manufacturing Relationships: Own and manage relationships with contract manufacturing partners to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives. 
  • Drive Innovation Projects: Collaborate with internal commercial teams to drive innovation projects forward, ensuring timely and successful implementation. 
  • Onboard New Contract Manufacturers: Work closely with cross-functional teams to bring new contract manufacturers online, ensuring smooth integration and start-up. 
  • Evaluate and Implement New Processes: Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new processes, technologies, and strategies to enhance efficiency and ensure product quality. 
  • Point of Escalation: Serve as the trusted go-to point of escalation for cross-functional partners to resolve any business deliverable opportunities. 
  • Create and Monitor KPIs: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for contract manufacturers based on input from cross-functional areas to measure and determine success. 
  • Expedite Requests and Liaison: Expedite requests and act as an efficient liaison between internal and external teams to ensure seamless communication and execution. 
  • Documentation and Compliance: Oversee the accurate processing of documentation and compliance needs during integration and new product start-ups. 
  • Contract Negotiation and Implementation: Assist with the negotiation and implementation of contracts with production facilities as necessary. 

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Proven experience in project management, contract manufacturing or a similar role. 
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and technologies. 
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills. 
  • Creative problem solving + strong analytical skills. 

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:    

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with employees at all levels.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). 
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:    

  • Experience in CPG product development, supply chain management, or similar field. 
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards. 
  • PMP Certification a plus. 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS:

  • Must be able to sit for an extended period of time during work period

 

HOURS & WORKDAYS:

  • 1st shift (8:00am-5:00pm) Monday through Friday, when business requires before/after hours will be mandatory
